- Design, develop, document, execute and maintain test cases and scripts to ensure that the projects,
- deliverables meet the project requirements and product specifications,
- Perform manual and automation testing. Verify software patches, hot-fixes and scheduled deliverables. Validate and document the completion of testing and development,
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts,
- Ability to find, record and track software defects as well as reproduce issues logged through the internal bug tracking tool,
- Report to and provide QA Team Leader/Quality Engineering Manager with regular status updates on test progress, troubleshooting analysis, documentation and test related metrics,
- Stay current with associated technology progress in the marketplace and grow skills.
SKILLS
- Strong technical and analytical skills,
- Technical skills need to include XML knowledge, scripting languages, automatic testing tools expertise,
- QA and SDLC methodology, including Agile methods are important,
- Understanding of basic web application architecture.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a quality assurance role with manual test experience, including functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing related to desktop applications,
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong and technical skills to develop and report metrics of all testing activities,
- Proficiency in translating requirements into subsequent test criteria,
- Experience with bug tracking software,
- Strong understanding of QA Processes, Methods and Tools used in the Software Development Life Cycle,
- A degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Cybernetics is highly desired,
- Strong team player in a fast-paced development team.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in testing computer software applications or embedded systems,
- Experience with testing automation tools, scripting languages and XML,
- Experience with various business document formats such as EDIFACT, X12, TRADACOM, SWIFT or other InHouse formats,
- Experience in maintaining test plans, providing test reports, computing test coverage, reporting and following-through completion of software incidents.
