Developer Technology Organization (DevTech) provides high quality software development tools to a variety of embedded software development markets, including Network/Communications, Wireless handset and infrastructure, and Transportation industries. Some major customers include Motorola, Nokia, Ericsson, Cisco, BMW, and many others.
Our tools include:
- debugging tools (with run control, cache viewers, flash utilities, protocol and download capabilities, symbolics translation, etc.)
- compiler and linker tools
- profiler and performance analysis tools
- simulation and run time software
all integrated into a single Integrated Development Environment based on the Eclipse open-sourced framework. Development targets include the entire Freescale silicon product portfolio: Digital Signal Processors and Controllers (e.g. StarCore), 32-bit Microcontrollers and Processors (e.g. Power Architecture, ColdFire), 8/16-bit Microcontrollers, 2.5G-3G+ Cellular Platforms, etc.
Job purpose:
- Define and monitor software product quality
- Facilitate and monitor the implementation of software development processes to be compliant with relevant standards: ISO 9000, SEI CMMi and others.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Drive and facilitate product quality improvements
- Drive and facilitate process definition and improvement
- Define and maintain product and process measurement system
- Conduct product and process audits and assessments and support teams in defining improvement actions
- Communicate with customers on product quality
- Benchmark worldwide practices
- Disseminate quality culture within the organization
Qualifications Required:
- M.Sc/B.Sc. University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Automation, Electronics
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, or related disciplines with overall understanding of the software development life cycle
- Experience with the application of the ISO 9000 standards family and SEI CMMi or other relevant quality standards
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and teamwork skills
- Fluent English
Experience in the following areas would be a plus:
- Embedded software development & testing
- Agile development methodologies
- Project management
- SEI TSP/PSP
- Statistical process control - SixSigma for Software
- Tools (requirements management, configuration management, project planning and tracking, static code analysis, testing frameworks, statistical process control)
