In Powertrain management system and calibration Division, the Specification & Test Engineer will be responsible with one or more of the following (depending on precise role) in accordance with software development standards :
Definition of the software specification by producing a coherent suite of software requirements, interfaces in the development of complex powertrain software (engine or transmission).
Technical exchanges with software supplier on software specifications.
Development of tests scenarii (manual or automated tests) for software validation on HIL test bench or on vehicle.
Validation of the functionality of software, according to the requirements or specifications in accordance with the validation plan established by the Software Project Manager.
Maintaining software defect tracking database and follow-up of corrective actions.
Calibration Management.
Industrialization of the Software and Calibration.
Diagnosis documentation for after-sale and plants about powertrain management system.
Ensure support to the users of the software (tunning, vehicle engineering)
Degree in Electrical, Electronic,Control or Computer Engineering
0-7 years of experience in Embedded Software development (automotive preferred)
Experience in working in a cross-functional team environment
Experience in international and multi-cultural organisation
Domestic and/or international travelling: 5%
Knowledge in the area of embedded software development for real-time systems
Knowledge of test environment, tools (Matlab, Simulink and it’s an advantage to know INCA, CANalyzer, dSpace/ETAS HIL systems), process and methods
Knowledge in the area of powertain (engine or transmission), internal combustion engines or gearboxes is a plus
Knowledge in the area of software development processes and quality assurance
Basic knowledge of sensors and electrical actuators desirable
