Job description
The Romanian AIR Team is looking for a motivated engineer with scripting skills to join the Quality Assurance team. You’ll have this unique opportunity to contribute to an exciting technology and help keeping the quality level of the runtime, the frameworks developed on this runtime and some other deliverables.
Basically we're looking for someone who worked previously in the quality assurance team for web projects (ajax based / flash projects are considered a bonus) and has some degree of scripting skills.
On this job, you:
- Will make sure the project meets the quality expectations of the end-user (the developer that uses AIR runtime) and the company standards
- Will perform user, workflow and scenario testing. Sometimes this means writing test applications and making sure that the API is working as intended.
- Will advocate for the user; provide good argumentation and feedback to the development teams. Will be involved in the process of designing new features / APIs and should add value to the team on those areas.
- Will work closely with the software developers to design product specifications (by product we understand API level functionality)
- Will write and maintain test specifications and test scripts
- Will write and execute automated test procedures
- Will work with a team of quality engineers and software engineers in order for your feedback to meet also business objectives and technical considerations. You need to be able to communicate clearly and make well-founded decisions
For this job we are searching for people with:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of industry experience, at least 2 years experience in quality assurance
- Ability to understand and interpret product specifications
- Good problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Familiar with various automated testing tools (JUnit, JMeter, Selenium) and procedures. Familiarity with performance testing (load, stress) represents a plus
- Proficient in at least one scripting language. You will be required to write tests scripts
- Knowledge of web technologies: HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS. Knowledge of basic Ajax techniques are a bonus. Basic SQL knowledge
- Experience working with bug-tracking applications is a must.
