The Dreamweaver team in Romania is looking for an experienced highly-motivated quality engineer with excellent testing skills and a passion for creating great software on the Windows and Macintosh platforms. This person will work closely with a development team in Bucharest and US, will communicate with customers to identify requirements and will apply this knowledge in designing new features, ensuring that Dreamweaver continues to be the professional choice for building web sites and web applications.
On this job, you:
- Work with developers to write use cases and functional specifications for new product features; help transform requirements into feature specifications;
- Work with the QA Manager on developing efficient and effective testing strategies and testing schedules;
- Develop test plans and test cases for complex technically challenging features; test important or at risk functionality to assure a higher level of quality;
- Find, report and troubleshoot software defects;
- Use test automation to increase test effectiveness and thoroughness;
- Proactively identify and communicate risks, based on technical knowledge and experience;
- Successfully interact with other quality engineers to ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards;
- Perform research on various technologies useful for the project;
- Provide status, feedback and raises any issues to management in due time;
- Provide mentoring to junior team members;
For this job we are searching for people with:
- Technical knowledge:
- B.S or M.S. degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent
- Real-world web design and web development experience (preferably using Dreamweaver or similar);
- Strong knowledge of HTML/XHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP;
- 4+ years experience testing large-scale desktop software;
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database application development using PHP, JSP, ColdFusion or ASP/ASP.NET;
- Highly proficient at detecting, reporting and troubleshooting software defects;
- Exceptional talent for detecting gaps or oversights in implementation decisions as well as recommending improvements in functionality
Nice to have:
- Experience with programming/scripting in C/C++, C# or Java;
- Experience testing applications on the Macintosh platform;
- Familiarity with Adobe products such as Contribute, Fireworks, ColdFusion and/or Flash;
Personal skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Pro-active and detail-oriented;
- Ambitious and self-driven;
- Great team player;
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken);
