Job Purpose:
Your role is to support CPD customers by delivering high quality software solutions supporting the new Smart Grid NAN (Neighborhood Area Network) products (RF - 802.15.4g, PLC, RTOS, Drivers and Demos for key hardware features)
Responsibilities:
To be successful in your role you will have to display the following activities:
• Develop high quality embedded system-level software
• Create and maintain requirements, design, architecture, code and tests for different parts of the product.
• Autonomously drive yourself in the process of solving the customer’s requests by: planning, designing and implementing new software solutions, considering customers requirements performance improvement and optimization of their products.
• Develop solutions for validation of the software products.
Necessary Experience:
To ensure your successful performance in this role your working past experience should reflect :
• Strong knowledge of ANSI C programming language
• Experience debugging hardware and low level software (device drivers, real-time OS etc.)
• Experience with source control and change control tools.
Technical knowledge and skills:
Your technical knowledge and skills should demonstrate:
• BS or MS in Electronics or Computer Science; Computer Engineering
• Microprocessor (microcontroller, DSP) architecture
• Experience in embedded systems software for microcontrollers, DSPs etc.;
• Experience in designing software modules
• It will be considered a plus to have knowledge of ARM Architecture and assembly
• Understanding of communication protocols specifications (MAC/network levels)
• Wireless communication protocols (like 802.15.4) would be a plus
• Knowledge in the SEI – CMMI software development process, methodologies and life cycle
• Good command of English (speaking & writing)
