The Network Communication Software Applications Team, part of Networking & Multimedia Group within Freescale Semiconductor Romania, has the mission to provide high quality embedded networking solutions for last generation PowerQuicc communication processors. Software solutions include microcode, drivers, demo applications and benchmarking on bare board and Linux OS with strong requirement for cross-platform coding.
You role will be to design, develop and test embedded software for advanced communication platforms for last generation PowerQuicc
Specific knowledge/skills:
- University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics
- 3 years experience with C
- Knowledge of operating systems fundamentals
- Knowledge of networking concepts and communication protocols
- Good understanding of HW modules
- Team spirit, able to cooperate and work under pressure
- Good English language knowledge (writing/speaking)
The following skills would bring an advantage:
- experience with assembler language programming
- Linux kernel internals
- Experience with last generation of traffic testing tools and testing methodologies
- Experience with different microcontrollers architectures
- Cross-platform (Windows/Unix) development experience
- Good command of software engineering design methodologies – UML, Design Patterns
