As part of Freescale s Design Technology Engineering Compute organization the Software Configuration Management team provides a standardized data management infrastructure and global support for Freescale s configuration management tools. The central team works with multiple internal groups to enable enterprise configuration management, to support project level standards, and to ensure cross-organization consistency of configuration management tools.
As a Software Engineer for Configuration Management Tools, you will be leveraging your expertise by: developing enterprise software configuration management solutions (AccuRev, ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS); interacting with a wide range of hardware architectures; working closely with Engineering Compute team members in remote locations, in order to facilitate a faster and more robust software development lifecycle.
Your contribution will be in the areas of deployment, management and enhancement of a high performance software development environment at regional and global level.
- To manage a complex software configuration management environment
-To analyze and to optimize the performance of configuration management system and tools
- To plan, design and implement new software solutions in order to automate software development process
- To share knowledge and experience across the team
To ensure your successful performance in this role, the following working experience is necessary:
-Administering various version control platforms like: AccuRev, ClearCase, CVS, GIT, etc
- Administering defect tracking platforms like: ClearQuest, Jira, etc
- Database management: Doors, Oracle; MySQL is a plus
- Web server administration using technologies like: Apache, WebSphere, IIS, SOAP, XML, PHP
- Ability to write, test and debug scripts: Perl, VBScript, Bash required; Tcl, Python, JavaScript a plus
