The Adobe Romania Globalization Team is looking for developers to shape and extend the multi-language availability of Adobe’s award-winning products. The job is available in the office in Bucharest but implies close work with teams from other offices.
On this job, you would:
-Work in a great team of engineers
- Drive the localization process of Adobe products, design, write and integrate i18n code into the products, with respect to total separation of resources from the code
- Design and implement the localization strategy/work flow for products
- Prepare localization kits, support localization vendors
- Develop some ad-hoc tools that would facilitate the automation of the localization processes
- Work with other teams and groups, including third party vendors to resolve internationalization or process issues
- Provide input on the Adobe localization process and takes initiative in developing new tools that improve the overall process
For this job we are searching for people with:
- B.S. or M.S. degree Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Solid foundation in development process, best practices and design patterns
- 2 to 5 years C / C++ programming
- Knowledge of Python or Perl as well as process automation and scripting is a plus
- Familiarity with desktop UI APIs
- Strong knowledge of character encoding systems (UTF-8, UTF-16, Unicode)
- Knowledge of localization and internationalization processes would be a plus
- Ability to understand complex technical information
- Ability to work independently to identify issues, define architecture, and respect tasks
- Effectively work with management, including actively attending and reporting on meetings
