As part of the Thales Railway Signalling Solutions R&D team you will be involved in the Software Development of an Electronic Interlocking System to control the train traffic. The Electronic Interlocking will be used in several European countries. You will take responsibilities in the following software development activities:
• Design, Implementation/Coding and Unit test
• Implementation and execution of manual and automated Test Cases
• Application maintenance and bug fixing
• Documentation
• Regular progress reporting
The development will be performed in a professional environment together with experts at Thales Germany and Thales Austria.
Education:
- Technical studies of informatics, automation and computing science, mathematics or a degree of Transportation Faculty in combination with good skills in software programming is a plus.
Preferred knowledge and experience:
- Project experience is not mandatory but you should know and understand the principles of programming and be open to learn and combine diverse programming languages. You should have experience in one high-level programming language.
Personal profile:
- Able to learn and understand the software development principles in the safety-critical field
- Able to learn and apply leading industry tools for SW development
- Able to work in an international environment and adapt to different cultures
- Able to perform very well in a team
- Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time
Languages:
- English is mandatory; knowledge of German language is a plus.
