ST-DDR (Diagnistic and Defect Resolution) is chartered with defect resolution, diagnostics and supportability enhancements in Oracle's core product areas of the Database, Application Server, Collaboration Suite and Enterprise Manager.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc, primarily focusing on mobile messaging for notification services and other dependent component areas.
Be part of a highly skilled and dynamic group involved in cutting-edge technologies in these exciting areas – SIP, IMS, 3GPP, Parlay, VoIP, etc. Contribute to the development of the service delivery platform in functionalities such as click-to-dial, actionable
presence-powered web pages, VoIP and multimedia conferencing, and others.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a member of the ST division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
- You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing,designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
- To avail this unique opportunity, good command over Java technologies
- and proven diagnostic and debugging skills are essential.
- An application Server domain knowledge is a plus.
- The main aspect of this job is to resolve customer issues that arise against the product.
- As part of this job, you will also participate in design reviews of new features in a supportability and maintainability advocate role. You will also be encouraged to propose and implement diagnostic tools to enable more effective problem resolution.
- In all aspects of job responsibilities,you will be working as a member of a team dedicated to meeting the technical challenges of responding to real-world issues on highly complex systems.
-Excellent knowledge of Java Tools Development (familiarity with new features in JDK 1.5 preferable), and must love to code.
-Solid system programming knowledge and skills
- Proven experience from SIP, IMS/3GPP technology
- Very strong in scalable server design and multi-threaded programming
- Strong design abilities (UML class diagrams, design patterns, etc.)
- Experience with a few relevant technologies and protocols (XML, HTTP,SOAP, SIP, etc.)
- Understanding of Networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP) and IETF standards
- Outstanding knowledge in XML, J2EE technologies, Web Services.
- Proficient in the development of high quality mobile messaging system
- Knowledgeable in transactional systems and relational databases
- Experience in mobile protocols such as SMPP, UCP, and MMS is highly valuable
- Must possess excellent trouble shooting and debugging skills
- Prior work on application servers is highly desirable
- Deep internal knowledge of any complex piece of software
- Must be able to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities
- Should possess excellent written and verbal communication, and problem solving skills
