You will first be introduced to our products, processes and also the existing code base. This will be a hands-on introduction, as you will be working productively on our current projects under supervision right from the start. Your work will be integrated into our products in just a short time.
In the medium term, you will actively assist in defining and implementing our new generation of products and technologies. We are going down completely new paths, both in recognising and removing malware and in user interaction and application design, which you will help us to explore.
As a member of an international team, you will develop and maintain security software for some 100 million customers around the world. Your work will focus on the design and implementation of core components (applications, libraries, system services) in C++ for Microsoft Windows platforms using modern methods of software engineering.
The software you develop is part of a security solution with global success. Our customers place a lot of trust in this software and also have high expectations of it. Your contribution helps to ensure that our customers can use their computers with peace of mind, even on the Internet.
You will develop the software with modern methods and use C++ confidently in the current language version (C++11). You are proficient in adopting those design patterns and idioms. Occasionally developing software with C# .NET is an exciting prospect for you.
Our development process is oriented to Agile methods. You are familiar with concepts such as "Clean Code", "Refactoring", "Pair Programming" and "Test Driven Development (TDD)" and will therefore use unit tests as a major tool in your daily work. You will come to appreciate our excellent infrastructure for Continuous
Integration (CI) including wide-ranging automation for builds and integration tests, because it helps you to achieve a high level of quality.
