Hostway Corporation is seeking individuals who are eager, energetic and highly technical for a Software Developer position located in Bucharest. The applicant will be expected to work in a team oriented environment tackling tasks at various stages in the development process ranging from requirements gathering to implementation and testing. Emphasis is placed on the candidate's contribution to the group and their advancement in understanding and helping extend and maintain Hostway's technical infrastructure.
Qualifications
BS or higher in Computer Science or equivalent field.
At least two years of programming experience in several programming languages such as: C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, Ruby
Experience and knowledge of Object Oriented Programming/Development concepts and practices.
Familiarity with web-based applications and the benefits/limitations of HTML interfaces, including CGI and persistent server application frameworks.
Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows and prior development experience working in a Linux environment.
Familiarity with relational database concepts and RDBMS systems such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2 and SQLServer.
General understanding of networks and network programming techniques.
Experience using version/change control systems (Subversion, CVS, Perforce, ClearCase, Visual SourceSafe, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communications expected as well as commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Strong analytic mindset, the ability to decompose complex problems into simpler components, and the ability to organize and track complicated project plans.
