At present we are looking for a
Shipping and Insurance Manager.
- ensure the sea transportation and logistic support for exports contracts
- control shipping and insurance documentation
- settle demurrage claims
- monitor cargo inspection and agencies
- report on his responsibilities to Director of Export & Trading Division
- ensure that all shipping operations of the export contracts (brokerage,chartering,shipping,port and terminal operations) are within the corporate shipping policy
- organize and provide insurance cover (including payments)
- control shipping and insurance documentation and support export and trading operations
- settle due hires/freights/inspections/demurrage claims
- inspect outgoing shipments and terminal operations
- oversee timely the vessel information
- follow the shipping market
- undersign charter-parties/shipping invoices/claims
- process transactions and shipping documentation;
- monitor status of current shipping
- monitor agencies operations.
- contact insurance company regarding outstanding balances.
- create and mail insurance claims and statements.
- Bachelors degree in Transportation Logistics (Marine) or Naval Engineering.
- Knowledge in ship contruction and naval operation.
- Experience in shipping logistics, chartering ,demurrage, legal issues etc.
- Experience in shipping operations and documentation; shipping agency or brokerage background preferable.
- Experience with Microsoft applications (database).
