RESPONSABILITATI

Contribute to all processes in his area of activity: Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, etc.
Administer consolidated server architecture across several different platforms and operating systems. This architecture will leverage virtual machines, blades and storage area network technologies.
Collaborate with Application Administrators in the following areas: validate that regularly scheduled backups are completed properly; check and update operational procedures; check and update scripts developed for work optimization and automation; deployments, patches, updates or rollback procedures.
Collaborate with other infrastructure engineering personnel to assess capacity needs to achieve on-time service delivery.
Coordinate the establishment of automated processes, run manuals, standard operating procedures and documentation to ensure 24/7 system availability.
Create and maintain documentation to identify hardware, software configuration, and connectivity or related to system configuration, application diagrams, processes, and service records.
Provide support in performance monitoring, back-ups, reporting, problem identification, management, and resolution.
Installation of software, patches, service packs, performance tuning. Troubleshooting activities.
Participate in the 24/7 on-call activity which provides out of business hours support, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
Accountable for services and platforms QoF (Quality of functioning): Ensure that the KPI's are maintained according to the existing SLA's.


CERINTE

Experience and education:

IT / Telecom degree with at least 2-4 years experience in an operational IT or Telecom environment in a large company.
Proven Experience in IT/ network operations

Professional knowledge:

Subject Matter Expert on at least one of the followings: AIX, Unix, VMware, blade servers: Including Architecture, Deployment, Backup
At least 2-3 years system administration experience of AIX/Unix, VMware ESX, blade servers.
Programming languages: KSH, Perl, Java.
Knowledge of Web and application servers.
Experience with at least one of: Nagios, Cacti, HPOV, $Universe, NetBackup.
Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment. Experience leading short projects involving outside teams is a plus.
Results-orientation: positive goal-oriented attitude in the workplace
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues in a courteous and friendly manner and to work with sensitivity and respect.
Previous work experience in a multicultural/international environment is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and technical documentation skills.
Good English skills. French is a plus.
Stress resistant.
