This is an exciting opportunity to become a technical lead in the Global Desktop Strategy group as they integrate Oracle technologies and the Desktop PC. You will be part of a team solving challenging problems and developing new technologies to be implemented within the corporation and eventually integrated into an Oracle product.
Global Desktop Strategy continuously develops new technologies to assist Oracle employees and is at the leading edge of technology for managing the desktop.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead Portal developer for MyDesktop web applications.
* Spec, design and build PL/SQL web applications efficiently.
* Maintain up to date documentation of all applications.
* Analyse existing applications and developing for improved functionality.
* Integrate MyDesktop with other Oracle applications.
* Web applications technical lead. - Resource for answering questions from and mentoring less skilled members of the development team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Oracle PL/SQL.
* JavaScript.
* Oracle SQL.
* Oracle Portal / Application Server.
* HTML.
* Experience in developing web applications, according to a pre-defined specification, under pressurised time constraints.
* Good communication skills to liaise with GDS team members around the world.
* Independent learning and motivation.
* XML.
* PHP.
* Java.
* Windows / Linux PC knowledge.
* Experience of a variety of projects and supporting a large base of users.
