Due to continued growth of our Water and Waste Water business, we are seeking to expand our Senior Management Team within Atkins office in Bucharest.
We therefore have a vacancy for an experienced Water and Waste Water Engineer, with Business Manager capability.
The role will focus on business development, although we expect the successful candidate to maintain their interest and participation in project work. This project work will include working in and with our global and local design teams on feasibility studies, options, outline and detailed design for water and waste water treatment works, and on clean water and sewerage infrastructure schemes.
As the ideal Candidate for this role, you should be Romanian degree qualified and have 10-15 years experience in the water industry, ideally in consultancy. A professional qualification would be an advantage, although Atkins operates professional development schemes for mutual benefit. Excellent command of English and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
As a key person in the management team, your duties will include developing and maintaining excellent client relationships, identifying and pursuing work opportunities for Atkins, and directing teams which provide support on marketing, tendering and delivery of projects. Initially, the work will focus on the design, development and delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects.
Working as part of our team, you will provide a responsive, customer focused service to external/internal clients. Your other duties will include:
Working closely with other Atkins managers to develop and implement our Business Plans
Enabling efficient delivery of projects,
Providing technical input to ensure delivery of high quality, cost-effective technical work on projects
Working with the design teams to meet and exceed project cost and programme targets
Understanding the project and business goals and to help to meet them.
Driving to find new and better ways of doing things
Communicating effectively internally and with clients
Assisting with the development of junior technical staff
Maintaining your own professional development programme
