The Senior Technical Writer (English) works with Software Development on the next generation hosting platforms. She or he is responsible for the public software documentation (manuals, knowledge base articles, release notes, articles, whitepapers, etc) and collaborates with Marketing and Sales departments to provide technical expertise for the creation of relevant documentation. On this job, you will have to:
- Gather information from the internal development documentation and convert it to a form easy to understand for customers
- Document software interface, provide feedback of the system sharpness and usability
- Interact with Software Quality Assurance engineers in order to get feedback on what areas of the software must be better documented
- Assist other staff members in technical documentation issues
- Research on and use the latest market trends to provide best formal and information documentation
- Interact with partners and translators, assisting them in getting translations for company products/documentation in other languages
- Provide feedback and reporting to management regarding documentation and overall software quality
Our candidate should have a B.S or M.S degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Journalism and a relevant (2+ years) technical writer experience. Good understanding of computers, Internet, and software usability are required.
Excellent English skills (read and write) are absolutely required. Certifications are considered a plus.
