Overview of your role in Pentalog
As a Java Quality Expert/Coach, you will be working in the technical department team with talented specialists for different interesting projects in a variety of domains. In order to define the customers’ solutions, 3 key-words will guide your activities: analysis, design and management.
You are eager to face new challenges and you enjoy technical debates aside highly-prepared specialists. You like diversity as well as guiding others in reaching the best results.
Your added value will be your strong expertise in Java includin Java Enterprise and the capability of analyzing a situation, defining complex architectures, coaching the team involved and following-up the results. In this role, the core focus will be to get involved in all the technical discussions for different Pentalog projects across all agencies; to drive new innovative ideas of designing software systems and to make calls on what is feasible and what is not.
More concrete details on what you will do :
- Directly subordinated to the Technical Director, you will be in close relationship with other developers, product managers and performance engineers and in the same time you will be connected with the technical leads and architects to ensure great software design and quality.
- You will point out issues with the existing architectures and codes on different projects, followed by offering help in order to clean it up.
- You will directly participate to enriching the database for technologies, architectures, metrics, questionnaires as well as the internal Pentalog knowledge base.
- You will manage several research topics, studies or internships,internal code reviews, and technical audits.
- You will drive innovation by coming up with new ideas to constantly improve the products and processes.
- You will participate to developing new features front to back as part of a team.
- Involvement in commercial proposals and continue evaluation of coworkers will also be included, as well as in technical help-desk activities.
Technical requirements
- 5 to 10 years (or more) in a professional Java development role, with an excellent understanding of J2EE;
- Deep architectural understanding of Java web applications and application servers;
- Good knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, SQL or others;
- Knowledge of Open Source libraries, tools and frameworks, e.g. for logging, wiring, testing, building;
- Experience with agile software development methodologies like XP and Scrum.
Non-technical requirements:
- Superior creative and innovative problem-solving skills;
- Initiative and the ability to work both independently and in a team;
- Good communication skills including communication at distance;
- Management skills – for handling priorities, risks, deliverable assurance, quality assurance as well as team management;
- Excitement for the latest trends in application design & interest to learn more about new languages and frameworks;
- English & French knowledge.

Grupul Pentalog a realizat in 2007 o crestere interna de 67% si o cifra de afaceri de 5,5M?. La inceputul anului 2008, echipa Pentalog numara deja 200 de persoane.
Datorita acestor indicatori pozitivi, preconizam pentru 2008 crearea a numeroase noi posturi in toate agentiile noastre din Romania si Republica Moldova, o crestere de 40% din efectivul actual.
