The Service Engineering team in Oracle Romania is part of the global Service Engineering organization.
The Service Engineering organization develops and deploys software and infrastructure technology that enable Oracle’s services offering. Our products and solutions are used by Oracle’s Advanced Customer Services and Oracle On Demand businesses and by our end customers. We not only develop software to solve immediate business problems, but we also invest into R&D to solve some of the industries toughest problems.
As a Software Development Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers and manage the full development life cycle for a number of products or solutions.
You will be expected to push the envelope in terms of delivering innovative technical solutions. This includes the ability to design and implement complex enterprise systems, primarily involving Oracle technologies including ADF, J2EE, Service Oriented Architecture and the Oracle Database.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult with stakeholders to review project requirements, determine technical approach for accomplishing projects, skill and staffing requirements and allocation of resources
- Work with Architecture and Product Management teams to improve project delivery
- To be a champion for Service Engineering solutions within Oracle OnDemand & Oracle Advanced Customer Services
- Willing and able to drive cross-team and global projects and initiatives
- Manage engineers to deliver project in accordance with scope & plan, including identifying issues and working them through closure
- Provide technical leadership to the team
- Conduct formal employee evaluations and performance reviews
- Contribute to the career development of each employee
- Participate in the Service Engineering Management Team
- Provide regular status, project tracking updates and overall assessments to Management Team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years Management / Team Lead experience
- Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree;
- A successful track-record delivering projects in a global environment with a preferred background in enterprise IT business
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to influence at all levels and across geography, with well developed persuasive arguments;
