RESPONSABILITATI

The Senior SupportSoftware Specialist individual plays an important role in the overall strategy of maintaining the multimedia applications portfolio for the client.

Main responsibilities are:
- Provide support for the applications deployed in production: bug fixing, configuration changes/optimization
- Diagnostic/tuning the performance
- Estimate the deployment hardware schema based on users/clients forecast
- Develop new functionalities for the existing products
- Ensure implementation of coding and release methods and standards
- Impact Analysis for application functionalities change/new functionalities or upgrade of platforms/third party frameworks/tools
- Write and execute unit tests for the code/configuration changes/new development
- Ensure that all support processes and procedures are maintained and followed
- Ensure that all required documentation is produced and maintained
- Support other Support Engineer in their deliverables
- Support 3rd Line Support
- Ensure that faults found are documented in the Issues Tracking Systems


CERINTE

Professional Experience and Expertise
Mandatory:
- 5+ years experience of software development/support
- 3+ years of Java experience
- Able to understand N-tier and 3-tier architectures
- Experienced with J2SE 1.4/1.5, Servlets, JSP, EJB 2.0, Weblogic 8, Eclipse
- Very good knowledge of communication protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, RMI
- Very good Oracle query optimization skills
- Good ANSI-SQL and PL/SQL knowledge
- Very good knowledge of XML
Desirable:
- Knowledge of operating systems (UNIX)
- Experienced with XSL/XSLT
- Experienced with EJB 3.0, JMS, JNDI
- Knowledge of Perl and shell scripting
- Knowledge of frameworks/technologies: Hibernate, Spring, Struts, Tangosol
- Experience in Telecom industry and Multimedia applications
