The Romanian Expertise center will be responsible for the on-time and on-spec delivery of standard service components to Oracle customers who have selected the services of Advanced Customer Support, which is delivered across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
After the initial introduction and training period in one of our 5 international area offices, you will work in our team of specialists located in Bucharest.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To manage and resolve Service requests logged by customers on Oracle products which is packaged in ACS service components
- Deliver high quality service accordingly to the specifications and on time.
- Respond and resolve service requests within Key Performance Indicator targets
- Maintain product expertise within own area of specialisation
- Maintain an up to date and in-depth knowledge of new products released in the market.
- Work towards, adopting and contributing to new processes and tools (diagnose, data capture, health checks, scripting tools ect.)
- Operating within Oracle business processes and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous development of the team
- Interact with customers via telephone and other electronic means
- B.A./B.S. in a technical field or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 4 years relevant working experience (preferably 2 years working with PeopleSoft products)
- Prior experience in providing technical customer support
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Functional/Technical background in assigned product area and exposure to associated systems and software
- Technical skills in: relational databases (Oracle, SQLServer, DB2®/UDB, DB2®/400), operating systems (Microsoft Windows, UNIX®, Linux, and the AS400 Operating systems), programming languages, web technologies and an analytical approach to troubleshooting
- Understanding of structured SQL statements and how they are executed in the RDBMS
- Ability to read and decipher software logs and trace files as well as the ability to act upon the finding to determine a problem resolution
- Experience in filtering and updating complex technical knowledge for use in problem resolution
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
