Perform analysis and testing to verify the strengths and weaknesses of Web Applications and Web Services (SML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, etc.)
Perform analysis and testing to verify the strengths and weaknesses of a variety of operating systems, network devices, web applications, and security architectures
Perform Internet penetration testing (black box / white box testing) and code reviews (manual and automated)
Assist with the development of remediation services for identified findings
Customize, operate, audit, and maintain security related tools and applications
Identify and clearly articulate (written and verbal) findings to senior management
Help identify improvement opportunities
Assist development teams in choosing development platform, following security design principles and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
5+ years of professional experience
One or more of the following certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH; preferred); GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN); Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP); GIAC Web Application Security (GWAS);or equivalent development or testing certification (ECSA, CEPT, CPTE, CPTS, etc.)
2+ years experience in the following: Ethical hacking, Penetration testing, Adversarial attack emulation, Security lab fixed asset attack testing, OSSTMM or comparable security testing methodology. Working understanding of Information Systems Security Assessment
Working knowledge of open source security testing tools/techniques : Applications scanning, Cryptography cracking, Fingerprinting, Firewall log analyzers, Hijackers, NetBIOS scanning, Network pinging, Packet analyzers, Password crackers, Port scanners, Root kits, Sniffers, War dialers, etc.
Web application development/architecture or related fields
.Net, Java, Ruby, Perl, Python, or C experience
Operating System Configuration and Security experience (HP-UX, Linux, Solaris, AIX, etc.)
Configuration and Security experience with Web Servers and Web Applications (Apache HTTP/Tomcat, Microsoft IIS, Sun One, Oracle iPlanet, IBM WebSphere, etc.)
Database Configuration and Security experience (MySQL, Microsoft SQL, IBM DB2, Sybase, Oracle, etc.)
Certifications for development, systems and network administration will be a plus
