We are seeking a full-time Quality Assurance engineer for web and Windows applications. You will test products and features created for Internet Explorer toolbars and Firefox add-ons.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes test automation strategies for product components that optimize software development and test execution cycles in accordance with product release plans
- Creates and executes automated test cases to validate product component requirements
- Establishes and maintains test environments and configurations
- Documents clearly and concisely the anomalies encountered during testing
- Works closely with the development team to identify and verify product component anomalies
- Communicates test status and issues to the project team as required
- Defines and executes processes to measure overall testing effectiveness using methods such as code coverage analysis
- Minimum 3 years experience in functional, regression testing and performance testing of browser-based and Windows applications
- Experience in automating test cases using automated test tools is a plus
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with application/web servers such as Apache
- Experience with MySQL
- Basic knowledge of HTML, PHP, Perl is a plus
- Excellent teamwork and (oral and written) communication skills
Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field is preferred.
