The Service Engineering Organization develops leading-edge solutions and services for the Oracle Global Customer Support & On-Demand businesses.
As Technical Product Manager you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of cross-functional activities including planning, strategy development, technical analysis, requirements gathering, design, roadmap development, and deployment. The goal being to provide engineered solutions for Service Offerings. You will provide the thought leadership and have the ability to maintain a peer-to-peer relationship with your counterparts in other departments.
As Technical Product Manager you will also be responsible for defining, communicating and implementing the Technical Product Management strategy. This responsibility includes primary leadership for the effective release, rollout and positioning of all service offerings. It also includes a drive for operational excellence through continuous improvement and ROI measurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate within the Engineering Program Management organisation, developing the strategic direction and value proposition for your Services;
Work with Business Teams to identify Service requirements and create engineering strategy;
Work with Oracle Base Product teams in leveraging and enhancing base product within Service offerings;
Ensure Product Strategy is aligned with Service Engineering Strategy
Develop an in-depth understanding of customer and business needs
Develop thought leadership, advice and guidance on the approach to Program Management;
Collaborate with engineering and operations groups to develop and introduce new products to the market and enhance the existing products;
Ensure a full lifecycle process is followed from product readiness to market release to launch, and in particular make sure all product offerings have business plans and measured ROI.
6+ years of experience in Product Management, Development Manager role
Attention to detail - work will involve in taking a broad definition and derive the necessary tasks
Knowledgeable with Databases, Data Centers and On Demand or Hosted Services
Adequate knowledge of Current trends in SOA, web technologies and application implementations
Engineering or equivalent degree;
A successful track-record in deploying and managing the product lifecycle with the context of a technology stack in a support environment
High management experience of matrixed relationships and conflict resolution
Nice to have - PMP, or near certification. Experience/training to demonstrate flexibility and imagination.
