Overview of your role inside the team:
As a Senior PHP Software Engineer in our team, your mission includes developing and maintaining web-applications, e-Commerce and social networking sites by organizing Scrum sessions and pivot missions for different back-office tools. The project is very ambitious, as there are multiple sites that our partner is currently managing. As a relevant example, the most popular of these sites gathers around 42 millions users all over the world and is recognized by far as number 1 among all the social platform European leaders.
In this context, you will join a dedicated team of 5 highly experienced PHP specialists and 1 Team Leader. As a Senior PHP Software Engineer, you will be in charge with followings:
- to develop, implement and optimize existing and new modules;
- to provide regular releases during the development phase;
- to drive innovation by adding and debating new ideas for the products and processes involved;
- to point out issues and advocate the best solutions while still presenting both the advantages and the limits that each one implies;
- to assure the corrective and evolutive maintenance for the existing applications through testing and bug-fixing.
- to write technical specifications and reports.
Required skills:
In order to be considered for this position, you must have:
- Confirmed experience in working on PHP based online applications, website projects (at least 5 years);
- Very strong knowledge of PHP4, PHP5, JavaScript JQuery;
- Good knowledge of HTML5;
- Previous practical experience with SQL Oracle and MySql;
- Knowledge of Webservices Json & REST will be a plus;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; any French knowledge would be considered a plus;
- Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
