Oracle On Demand is seeking for Service Operations Engineers with experience in Oracle DBA and Oracle Applications.
The Service Operations Management function is the focal point within OnDemand for the quality of the Service delivered to our customers. Service Operations Engineers work with the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) to ensure a high-level of customer satisfaction and manage SLA compliance, driving customer focus and priorities into 'back end' delivery functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform regular structured reviews of the quality and contractual compliance of service delivery to OnDemand customers including review performance against SLS, and technical operations such as performance, capacity, and configuration.
- Work with operational delivery teams to:
- Ensure smooth implementations of changes
- Ensure change implementation low failure rate
- Reduce risk of incidents caused by changes
- Reduce testing time and cycle
- Reduce requested downtimes
- Better scheduling of internal resources
- Provide General Operation including:
- Support and Maintain Customer Change Management Calendars
- Manage remedial actions resulting from technical & SLA reviews
- Important tasks Progression
- Support Escalations
- Global Reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and add more value to customers
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of service delivery
- Work together with the SDM to apply operations governance best practices particularly with regard to Change Management.
- Support field SDMs to build a long-term strategic relationship with the customer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 yrs Oracle DBA or Apps DBA experience, either as part of complex implementation projects or post implementation responsibility for production operations.
- Experience working directly with customers in an IT services environment.
- Proven ability to develop a trusted relationship with the customer
- Experience working in a global, matrix team environment with ability to drive initiatives and influence across organisational and geographic boundaries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Another European language would be a plus
ITIL training or certification is consider an advantage
