The Medical Physicist will participate in all technical areas including Linear accelerator QA, treatment planning needs such as SRS, and special treatment procedures including SRS, SBRT, and Brachytherapy. The Physicist participates in the clinical aspects of radiation therapy treatment planning, including, but not limited to, patient dosimetry, patient plan and chart checking, and 3-D, IMRT, and brachytherapy treatment planning. Duties will also include special treatment procedures including, but not limited to, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT), IMRT-VMAT treatment techniques and IMRT QA.
Participates in routine physics QA program, including, but not limited to, linear accelerator calibration and monthly/annual mechanical and dosimetry, CT-simulator, OBI and CBCT, Brachytherapy, etc. The Physicist will provide instruction in Radiation Oncology Physics and Radiation Safety to radiation therapists, radiation physicists, radiation oncologists, nurses.
Attends tumor boards and chart rounds if needed .
Minimum 5 years experience in field
Good organizational skills
Good communication skills
