Adobe is looking for a Software Engineer with strong application development experience to join the Rich Media Solutions team. You will contribute to the process of shaping and deciding tomorrow's technologies and solutions that make it easy to deliver, measure and protect video content online using the Flash Platform. You will contribute to projects like Open Source Media Framework (for delivering high-quality, full-featured playback experiences), Flash Access (for content protection) and other new initiatives – used to power premium web video players such as newly launched ESPN3.com or Time Warner’s TV-Everywhere initiative.
On this job, you will:
* Transform requirements into architectural and feature specs, contribute with valuable ideas to the service architecture ;
* Contribute to the design and implementation of new features
* Design & implement features, required APIs, test suites or technology according to specifications;
* Work closely with the quality engineers, to ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards;
* Interact with product management, team leads and customers to refine feature requirements
* Be part of an agile, highly collaborative and passionate team working on new products development
* Research on various technologies useful for the project and keep in touch with the evolution of the video distribution market
* Enhance your technical and team working skills. .
# Strong Computer Science background , very strong algorithm and logical skills
# 5+ years of industry experience
# Solid knowledge of Java Technologies (Spring, Hibernate) and Java web applications servers Experience in designing and developing scalable and distributed applications (RESTful web services, JMS, etc)
# Experience with Object Oriented Design, solid foundation in development process & best practices for writing code that is maintainable and secure
# Experience developing Internet Applications (ideally Rich Internet Applications), knowledgeable about internet standards;
# Python, Ruby, ActionScript or other dynamic languages are a bonus
# Problem solving skills, ability to dive deep to find the root of the problem
# Ability to research and become proficient in new technologies, and willing to learn Adobe technologies - Flash Platform (ActionScript, Flash, AIR)
# Passionate about computer science, developing software & internet applications
# Committed to the highest levels of quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
# Excellent written and verbal communication skills
# Good English language knowledge, written and spoken
