The Java team has a colourful and exciting runway. We jumped into the financial sector from the beginning. Here are some details about the project we will deliver together from our Bucharest office:
•The client provides an electronic trading service to the global insurance and re- insurance businesses for the definition, placement and contracting of risks. The main requirement is Java developers with experience Spring and XMP processing.
•Tools and technologies involved in the project:
- Spring
- JMS
- ActiveMQ 5.*
- Hibernate
Across the group we follow TEAM (The Endava Adaptive Model) to deliver projects. This unified delivery model promotes the Agile and planned iterative approaches.
At first there were projects for which the clients favoured a semi-waterfall process and had very strict rules, but then with recent projects went Agile: we have the freedom of using the newest technologies, deciding on architecture. In all our projects we are exposed to various businesses and so far we touched base with accounting, card processing and funds reconciliation. We are sometimes involved in developing estimates based on specs and in some cases we meet the clients for workshops in the UK before the projects start.
When we are between projects, which might be from 1 week to 3 months period - and as this is also part of the IT outsourcing business-, we have time to catch our breath, do individual study and take exams for certifications, or to get involved in internal initiatives to develop our discipline.
