Organization Mission Statement:
- Corporate Assurance performs an independent and objective appraisal of the Company’s financial statements, internal controls, critical business functions and risk assessment process and reports its findings and recommendations to the Audit and Legal Committee and senior management, as appropriate. As part of this appraisal process, Corporate Assurance assists management in developing control improvements to address identified weaknesses and help management in its responsibility to foster a positive control conscious environment.
Corporate Assurance is composed of 25 auditors working together, in the US, EMEA and Asia.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
- The successful candidate is recruited by FREESCALE Corporate Assurance Organization to perform professional auditing work and will report to the EMEA Corporate Assurance Manager, with intense work relationship with the Global SOX Project Manager located in Austin, Texas U.S., and with the auditors from other FREESCALE regions. He/She will also serve as the local leader to the local finance team, with expected progression into Regional Finance Leadership within the next 2 to 3 years. The specific areas of involvement will include:
- Execute and/or lead Regional or Global audit projects (performance, compliance, operational and financial audits)
- Execute the SOX 404 program (process documentation, walkthroughs, controls testing and remediation)
- Communicate or assist in communicating the results of audits and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management and the Board of Directors
- Provide adequate support to the Romanian Operational Organizations to help them maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating the organization risk areas and provide inputs to the development of the annual audit plan.
- Represent Corporate Assurance on organizational project teams and at management meetings.
- Build, grow and lead the local finance team
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- University graduate in Finance or Accounting or Economics
- Seven to fourteen years of Finance experience, with minimum five years of public accounting and audit experience in big four firms
- Excellent English (Read, Written, Spoken)
- Excellent writing skills
- Very good knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Ability to analyze data (Data Mining)
- Ability to develop process mappings
- Willingness of pursuing professional development opportunities, including external and internal trainings and professional association memberships
- Willingness to share knowledge and competencies with co-workers
