Mission:
To coordinate, maintain and develop the activity of TENDERING DEPARTMENT
Reports to:
General Manager
Responsibilities:
Work with plans and specs, perform quantity takeoffs, estimate all General Construction job costs, including labor, material equipment and specialty items necessary to complete the project;
Develop scope, solicit, analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals;
Ensure adequate sub/supplier coverage and participate in bid day closeout;
Provide updated information necessary to maintain subcontractor databases;
Provide input as requested for pre-bid project schedules and technical proposals;
Decision making regarding costs estimation, project budgeting;
Coordinate his team, support the development of the team
Requirements:
Solid background in an international working environment;
Accuracy in working;
Excellent German or English knowledge;
Good character, loyal, flexible and open minded;
3-5 years experience within a construction company as an Estimator;
Technical degree (Construction Engineering);
Knowledge of:
Good knowledge of direct project management or site management activities, the existing construction materials, their use and the market suppliers;
Ability to:
Manage people, other resources, communicate easily, work under pressure, understand and transfer information / know how from the mother company in Germany, to the Romanian subsidiary.
Experience:
Project Management or minimum Site Management jobs as a background;
Experience in managing people;
Good PC Skills: Doclib, Excell, Ms. Office, MS Project, etc.
Experience in creating and sustaining tender documentation for bids.
