Job Description:
•This is a senior level position for the Electrical Design function.
•The candidates should provide design for electrical power distribution and related control systems.
•The candidates for Bucharest must be available to work from time to time in Canada.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Work effectively as a team member with other engineers and designers;
•Prepare electrical single line diagrams; Design motor control schematics and wiring diagrams;
•Design building lighting systems and prepare layout drawings and distribution panel schedules;
•Prepare processing plant and substation grounding layout drawings;
•Size power cables and check cable tray fill; Design cable tray systems;
•Implement Smart Plant 3D and SPEL design; Estimate electrical materials and prepare Bills of Material;
•Meet drawings preparation on budget and project schedule;
•Identify cost-effective solutions to design problems;
•Makes decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and procedures;
•Implement design in accordance with SNC-Lavalin Inc. Global M&M Engineering Procedures.
•Working knowledge of 2D Microstation and 3D PDS Frameworks or 3D Microstation software;
•Working knowledge of electrical power distribution design and drafting of electrical drawings;
•Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD design software;
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Words and Excel software programs; Technical college graduation with special emphasis on electrical circuits and machines;
•7 to 10 years of relevant practical experience in the design of heavy industrial plants.
•Working knowledge of computer applications for engineering design;
•Proficiency oral and written communications in English.
