Server Technologies Porting Software Engineering team is responsible for providing clean, reproducible and frequent builds of Oracle Database and iAS products on strategic platforms. This means delivering the Oracle software to internal teams for testing while also automating and developing the processes, which we work to. Currently responsibilities are shared across Ireland, Bangalore and San Francisco. We need help to ensure we can deliver our builds efficiently with the right tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work as part of a Global team, taking responsibility for both personal and team projects
* Deliver to tight deadlines
* Mentor and provide technical guidance for more junior members within the team
* Initiate and drive process improvements and changes
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 4+ years experience, B.Tech. / M.Tech. in Computer Science or Engineering
* Strong knowledge in UNIX system programming, Java, C and perl programming
* Strong knowledge of debugging ¿C¿ and ¿Java¿ programs in a UNIX environment
* Understanding of compilers and compiler theory
* Understanding of Database Technology
* Good Knowledge of XML is a plus
* Exposure to Oracle environment is a plus
