Amazon Romania is looking for an experienced, independent, technical, hands-on manager to lead development of Amazon\'s high-performance, high-reliability web-services-based content management suite. This suite of merchandiser-facing tools supports real-time content development, optimization and deployment for Amazon and third-party sellers using Amazon\'s E-Commerce platform.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of leading the implementation of large-scale web services, managing customer-facing operational functions, and leading diverse technical teams. Candidates must demonstrate experienced leadership of the software development life cycle, from product design through delivery, and the ability to meet aggressive schedules without compromising quality. Technical expertise in website development and platform integration in a Linux/C++/Perl/Mason environment, service oriented architectures, and quality assurance techniques are required.
Familiarity in Java/JSP, JavaScript, Perl, Mason, CSS, XSLT, HTML and other Web technologies is extremely helpful.
In addition to technical aptitude, the ideal candidate will be highly analytical and detail-oriented, demonstrate strong project management skills, communicate effectively, be intellectually curious, and remain calm in the face of fast-moving, hectic environments. Experience making investment tradeoff decisions, designing and implementing effective policies, setting and meeting standards for operational performance, and figuring out how to \"delight customers\" consistently is also required. 10+ years of work experience and BS in Computer Science are required; MS in Computer Science and MBA are preferred. Passion for excellence is a must.
