- Will be responsible for delivering hydraulics design projects;
- Will lead and mentor junior level technical staff assisting in the delivery of those schemes;
- Will provide a responsive, customer focused service to external and internal clients;
- Direct liaison with Client with ability to assist client in the development of project briefs;
- Management of projects to programme and budget;
- Project development including preparation of briefs, scope of works etc, completion of technical tasks as appropriate to complete the works, liaison with clients, stakeholders, other professional bodies and contractors to the company’s Quality Assurance procedures;
- Using relevant software packages;
- Direct, train and assign projects to Design Engineering AutoCAD operators personnel;
- Work closely with customers to support new application development;
- Oversee design;
- Ensure timely progress and budget reports.
Key Relationships:
- Internal – Civil, Geo-technical & Structural Engineers;
- External – Client, Highways Agency; Designers.
Conditions: Will be required to attend client meetings and site visits on occasions.
PROFILE:
- University degree in Engineering - hydraulics;
- Experience in roadway drainage design, storm-water management, erosion and sediment control;
- Experience planning, scheduling, and managing work of multiple projects;
- Project management experience;
- Experience using Design Software/CAD;
- Experience demonstrating excellent communication skills both orally and written;
- Advanced (5 years +) experience of design engineering for hydraulics;
- Good understanding and experience of design;
- Material cost saving experience by revising the project design;
- Fluency in English;
- Good analytical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.
STUDIES:
Technical University, Specialization degree in Hydraulics;
Any other technical and management certification is an advantage.

- have a sound knowledge of computer assisted design software;
- have an excellent grasp of engineering concepts and principles;
- have excellent communication skills;
- be able to visualize ideas;
- have an understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods;
- have an appreciation of the wider business and environmental impact of design ideas;
- have good team working skills;
- PC literacy (MS Office);
- Fluent English, both spoken and written.
