- Review credit proposals for Corporate and SME clients, make recommendations to Head Office Credit Committees and ensure general application of the Bank’s lending policies and principles as well as industry best practices.
- Manage and limit the credit risk exposure of the bank by performing the credit assessment role in a manner that will enable the Bank to maintain and develop the lending portfolio, whilst remaining within the risk appetite of the organization.
- Support the team of experienced credit analyst within the branch network, assisting them (when necessary) with due diligence / pre credit proposal preparation and to subsequently scrutinize completed lending propositions to ensure a high quality of preparation and presentation to the appropriate decision making authority.
- Maintain updates of industry trends as well as monitor the development of large corporate accounts.
- Insure support for the development of credit processes and methodologies as well as specialized opinion for new loan products.
- Build financial and forecasting models for different industries and type of projects.
- Perform any additional analysis as requested
- Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience of in depth Corporate or SME credit analysis utilizing advanced credit skills preferably but not necessarily gained within a financial institution;
- Master degree (preferable in finance, economics or risk management) or CFA would be an asset;
- Familiarity with RAS, IAS financials;
- Analytical skills and a general understanding of macroeconomic environment;
- Good organizational skills - ability to sort conflicting priorities and meet deadlines;
- Strong combination of interpersonal, analytical and decision-making skills;
- Persuasive communication skills both written and verbal, confidence in being challenged;
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
