Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function - primarily the purchase of wood raw materials for manufactured wood products;
Prepares, develops and maintains instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures;
Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports to leadership with guidance and/or recommendations;
Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service requirements are met;
Responsible for achieving annual cost reduction goals for the commodities assigned;
Responsible for develop supply strategies with Materials Management/Logistics leaders that achieve company service level and inventory turns objectives;
Recruits and negotiates with suppliers to provide high quality products and services while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct;
Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
University Degree.
Relevant experience and/or training preferably in wood or forestry (manufacturing, purchasing or sales) or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Excellent organizational skills;
Team builder and team player; ability to be relied upon and ambitious for the vision of the company;
International experience would be preferred; availability to travel 1/3 of the working time in the country and abroad;
MS Office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint;
Fluency in English;
