On behalf of our client, a leading industrial company, located in Bucharest, we are looking for a SENIOR BUYER.
Main responsibilities:
-Responsible for purchases of raw materials and finished good in assigned product categories, which includes, vendor sourcing, material qualification, costing and order placement;
-Identifies and ensures disconnects such as shortage non-conforming material, excess or obsolete materials are continuously monitored and resolved;
-Drive down the overall cost of material including part pricing, freight expenses material liability and cost of managing materials;
-Manages supplier relationships by clearly communication and monitor to assure compliance;
-Assist the quality control effort by communicating the proper specifications and requirement to vendors and suppliers;
- Adhere to all appropriate ISO 9000 quality standards and work instructions;
-Strives continuously to improve sources for new alternative materials improving quality and profitability.
Requirements:
-Graduate a Technical faculty;
-Minimum 3 years of buying experience in an industrial manufacturing environment;
- Proven experience in complex supplier negotiations including preparing and administering Long Term Agreements;
- Strong knowledge of MsOffice (Word, Excel, Power point) and Internet tools;
-Proficient knowledge of written and spoken English is required;
-Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills;
-Strong negotiation skills;
- Decisive, assertive and highly motivated;
- Team player with ability to communicate professionally at all levels of the organization;
- Interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the organization: sales, marketing, finance.
