- Participates in the preparation of the risk-based internal audit plan which fulfils the responsibility of the department
- Works together with management to ensure a system is in place which ensures that the major risks of the organisation are identified and analysed, on an annual basis
- Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, including assessing the impact of control deficiencies
- Evaluates and examines policies, procedures and systems in place
- Reviews compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations
- Schedules and assigns work, considering resource needs
- Develops and updates audit programmes and checklists
- Participates in planning of the audit assignments, establishes audit scope and objectives
- Performs specific audit procedures and prepares working papers documenting the audit procedures performed
- Reviews and evaluates work papers of completed projects to be certain that adequate documentation has been gathered and that the work papers
Job requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in economics
- Several years (2-3) audit experience
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance, business and operational risk and control processes and procedures
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of audit procedures and accounting standards
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Good IT skills: MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in Romanian and English
