RESPONSABILITATI

Monthly calculation of company tax burden, posting of tax provisions.
Performance of the monthly closing procedures regarding to the recorded contracts, control of the input keyed in by the contract administration
Realize of all necessary controls, calculations, postings and reporting to create the monthly financial statements according to local accounts for non-banking financial institutions.
Prepare the VAT declarations and the declarations of the company taxes, declare intra communitarian VAT, check VAT ledgers with sales and purchases journals, declare all goods which are imported to Statistical Office.
Co-operation with tax consultants and auditors.
Check account ledger of fixed assets, suppliers, and taxes, advance paid expenses.
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
Monitors legislation changes occurring in the field, evaluates their impact on the activity within its responsibility and proposes in due time to the management of the company the necessary actions so that the company complies with all legislation applicable.
Ensure accurate reporting to National Bank of Romania in accordance with the relevant rules applicable to the non-banking financial institutions.

For our client, a prestigious non-bank financial institution providing financing solutions for large orporations, middle market companies, professionals, small businesses and local authorities, being the largest lease firm in Belgium & Luxembourg and among the top five European cross-border leasing companies, we are looking for a Senior Accountant.

Requirements:

Experience in leasing including accounting procedures;
Knowledge of tax principles regarding the creation of invoices and posting documents;
Knowledge of the monthly closing requirements according to GAAP;
Knowledge of the yearly closing requirements according to IAS/IFRS;
University in (business) economics or equivalent education with focus on accounting;
Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken);
Previous experience in a similar position within a non-banking financial institution;
Good knowledge of the National Bank of Romania rules applicable to non-banking financial institutions;
Good knowledge in IT (MS Office).
