Our client is a multinational company, one of the largest telecommunication network operators in Romania.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements of service revenue and cost of sales. Performs complex and non-routine calculations and analysis.
- Complex data and transactions processing and accounting under relevant accounting standards of services revenues from Billing Systems and other revenue systems.
- Establish appropriate accounting treatment for new products (services) introduced by the business and/or changes to existing products (services).
- Perform complex calculations and analysis (e.g. accrued, deferred revenue, bill reports), review and validate the data used for the accounting journal entries.
- Perform complex reconciliations of data generated by the revenue systems to ensure accuracy of revenue reported.
- Prepare month end, weekly and ad hoc revenue reports and analysis that meet content, quality and schedule requirements.
- Ensure the information systems and reports are updated in order to enable accurate reporting of data. Provide specifications for new reports by considering accounting and reporting requirements.
- Establish and maintain a strong partnership with internal customers, provide technical support and advice to other departments, colaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Perform some reviews of other more junior team members¿ work, giving feedback to the manager.
- Initiate and lead improvement projects within the team or actively participates in cross-functional projects.
- Responsible for regular updating of revenue processes documentation.
- Understand main factors in the mobile telecoms market and company¿s product and services portfolio.
- Related Experience - 2 to 3 years
- Previous experience with IFRS reporting
- Previous accounting software experience (e.g. : Oracle, SAP)
- University graduate, preferable economics
- ACCA qualification would be a plus
- 4 to 6 years experience in Finance
