RESPONSABILITATI

The Senior Accountant responsibilities mainly refer to the following field:
- Technical and specialist knowledge (review report-management and statutory reports, client liaison, relationship with state authorities, preparing correspondence that is not standard or regular, coordinates the activity of accountants and junior accountants for which he/she is responsible,etc)
-Communication and teamwork (briefs junior staff by clearly setting out requirements, efficiently communicates status of work, problem areas and potential risk issues to senior staff, communicates with team members and clients, contributes to the team to enable objectives and deadlines, motivates staff and ensures staff satisfaction and adherence to firm policies, etc)
-Compliance (works in compliance with all firm procedures and related standards of work, meets all the deadlines, manages relationship with clients and relevant bodies, prepares time sheet daily, reviews letters to clients concerning financial statements, in accordance with firm¿s standards, keeps the desk clean and organized, etc)
-Planning (ensures appropriate staff allocation, setting realistic deadlines for self and junior staff, organizes the work in an efficient manner, able to adapt to change, to remain focused and to deliver results, able to work on a certain number of clients in the same time, etc)
-Innovation (uses technical and industry knowledge to spot and suggest ideas to team)
-Networking (meeting with other departments, active membership of relevant bodies/institutes, attending seminars, etc).
This is very much a long-term position and as such will only suit somebody dedicated and serious about their future.


CERINTE

Our client is a global management and accounting outsourcing firm, one of the world¿s largest in the field. They are urgently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their busy and rapidly expanding practice in Bucharest. You must have a minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position, preferably in a consulting environment and you will speak and write fluent English (French and German language would be an advantage). The ideal candidate must have very good knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, IFRS, Romanian taxation, transfer pricing, Romanian commercial law and experience in management reporting. ACCA student or qualified member would be an advantage. You will have good communication skills, presentation skills, persuasiveness, ability to coordinate, motivate and influence people, ability to set priorities and follow up task completion, ability to delegate tasks and monitor the results, ability to work under pressure, flexibility in terms of working hours, attention to details. You must be proactive and dynamic.
