Keeping proper accounting records in accordance with Romanian Accounting Standards;
Preparing all necessary tax and VAT declarations and half-yearly and yearly financial statements;
Preparing IFRS statements using client-provided templates (most of our clients are quoted and need to prepare consolidated accounts)
Liaising with auditors and tax advisors
Preparing ad hoc analyses
Responding promptly to client emails and, more rarely phone calls, in English
Generally ensuring that our clients are looked after from an accounting point of view and referring them to Tax Advisors or Lawyers where necessary
Degree in Management/Economics/Accounting
4/5 years of professional experience
Fluency in English
Knowledge of local financial and tax regulations

He read History and Law at Queens’ College, Cambridge and holds Diplomas in Law and Legal Practice from the College of Law, London. He worked as a civil servant in the House of Lords and as a political risks insurance broker in Lloyds’ of London before becoming a headhunter. In Bucharest he has been Senior Consultant for Antal International and headed KPMG’s Search and Selection Department.
