The GIT Security Operations team is responsible for designing processes and procedures to manage and monitor security systems in accordance with defined policies and controls, to perform these processes and procedures daily, and to report/escalate the identified events and resulting actions taken to the GIT Security Operation Manager. This organization works on issues that are extremely complex and/or require multiple resources to resolve. Scopes of responsibilities include global network and infrastructure security for Oracle¿s business operations, as well as Oracle¿s On Demand hosting operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Security Operations Engineer position is an engineering position reporting directly to GIT Security Operations Manager.
The GIT SecOps team provides 24 x 7 security services for Oracle Corporation and Oracle¿s OnDemand hosting operations. The team is responsible for the life cycle management of Oracle¿s global perimeter defense including firewalls, proxy servers, authentication servers, and supporting infrastructure devices. The team is also responsible for life cycle management of load balancers. Individuals in the group are responsibile to remain current on development of security technologies, and ensuring that all projects follow established corporate policies and best security practices.
Review and action of service requests for configuration changes to Oracle firewalls, proxy servers, load balancers.
Resolution of Oracle customers and other Oracle support group network connectivity issues as they may relate to the security infrastructure, Implementation of IT projects, working with other infrastructure teams to set up and support Oracle
QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires experience and knowledge in TCP/IP Networking/ UNIX/LINUX Operating Systems/ Network Forensics/ Intrusion Detection Systems/ Firewalls/ Penetration Testing/ Network Audits/ VPN over IPSEC/ Security Policy Management/ Network Countermeasures Skills/ Worm and Virus Detection/ Security Device Implementation / knowledgeable of Oracle applications is highly desirable.
