The IT Security Officer is responsible for the IT security activities for each of the following components: physical control of IT areas; local area networks, network communications, Internet, external connections; voice; systems and applications:
Prepares plans for the security policy implementation;
Develops procedures related to the implementation of the IT security policy;
Designs and approves the implementation of the network security and third party access security connections;
Controls and analyses the network and Internet traffic, as well as the proper use of Internet; design the appropriate network security mechanisms;
Monitors the implementation of Systems, Applications and Networks security (implementation of security patches, hot fixes, etc; systems, applications and database accounts and policies; client certificates; anti-virus protection; etc);
Provides monitoring and day-to –day management of security issues (including adding, removing and control on security services and mechanisms);
Designs the IT Security incidents management process;
Prepares reports for any events that have occurred in the IT security;
Distributes relevant information on IT security issues within the Bank.
Supplementary activities/tasks:
Coordinates the relations with external organizations in the respective areas;
Coordinates the user’s training in the operating procedures and tools related to IT security;
Responsible for developing and improving his qualifications.
Qualification and experience:
Education-minimum a University degree in area of Information Technology;
Very good knowledge of: Securing networking environment/ Firewall; IDS; Systems security principles (OS and Application authentication, and Data access security control);
Technical understanding and experience with routers, switches, firewall, IDS and services (such as DNS, email, proxy servers, web, and ftp);
Technical understanding and experience with a variety of Operating Systems including Windows, Linux, Unix;
Technical understanding and experience with a variety of Antivirus systems (CA, Symatec, etc0
Experience with enterprise and information systems security; policy development; operations planning; penetration testing; configuration management; audits; problem resolution; crisis management;
Certifications in the area of IT Security (CISSP, SSCP, CISA) as well as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) and/or Microsoft (MCP, MCSE) would be a plus.
