RESPONSABILITATI

Job scope:

For our international METRO Group wide Merchandise System we are looking for a Second Level Support Engineer.

Your area of responsibility includes a multitude of tasks within our incident and problem management process, e.g. ticket analysis and dispatching from our international customers. Furthermore problem and root cause analysis as well as specifications for bug fixing are within the scope of this position.
You are in contact with the Third level Support (Product Development), the First Level Support at our customer and other Partner Departments.

Main responsibilities:
- Incident & Problem Management
• problem analysis
• if appropriate, further clarification with the first level support
• problem processing including escalations if appropriate,
• forwarding of inquiries which do not fall into the reference of SLS
• production of the proposal as to how to solve the problem in the case of a software error
• problem fixing
• hand-over of the solution proposal to the First Level Support
• follow-up and documentation of the problem solution and problem type

- Other Services like Project Support or Support of Special Activities


CERINTE

Education:
- University degree, preferable in IT or related area

Professional experience:
- Minim 1 year previous experience in support or development area

Abilities & Competencies:
• Oracle Tools (Oracle DB, Forms, Reports) – good level
• Good Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent SQL, PL/SQL Knowledge
• Basic UNIX Know How (Shell Programming)
• Good English language skills
• Customer and service oriented
• Availability to travel abroad
