Barnett McCall is urgently looking for an experienced and very capable SAP Buyer for Indirect Goods for one of its prestigious clients, multinational world leader manufacturer in automotive spare parts industry.
The key responsibilities of this position will be:
- Performs and supports the sourcing process of capital commodity for sites in EMEA TS organization.
- Owns the acquisition process, quality, cost, delivery and service performance objectives for part of the capital investment and related services procurements;
- Develops and executes sourcing strategies aligned to the company requirements in the area of responsibility;
- Negotiates and administers Long-Term Supply Agreements (LTAs);
- Increases Emerging Region expenditures;
- Develops and owns e-bid process for capital procurement.
- Monitor capital acquisition projects and maintain unique SAP methodology for managing the acquisition process.
- Works closely with other functions/SBGs/Corporate Supply Chain, mainly with manufacturing organization and maintenance community to ensure strategic objectives are achieved.
- Monitors the main projects in EMEA TS indirect materials organization and manages the main reports referring to current activity and conformity to AOP goals.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in purchasing, preferably in the sourcing of indirect products and services;
- Bachelor¿s degree in related field or equivalent work experience, Master¿s degree preferred;
- Six Sigma knowledge is an advantage;
- SAP work experience minimum 1 year , purchasing administration preferably.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiations including preparing and administering Long Term Agreements.
- English is mandatory, one or two other languages is a plus.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Comfortable dealing with peers and suppliers at all levels.
- Good negotiation acumen, balancing day to day tactical needs with long term strategic intent.
- Project management skills and ability to communicate concisely at all levels inside and outside the company.
