RESPONSABILITATI

General:
- There are several positions available which combine sales and technical skills (see the categories below, at Technical Requirements), within the Solution Architecture department.
- You will be responsible for generating new business in telecom markets assigned to GSDC Romania
- You must have good telecom knowledge in order to stress the Ericsson???s competitive advantages
- The Solution Architect ensures that competitive solutions are provided to customers, either as solution proposals in an advise service, as offers in the sales phase or as delivered solutions as a result of a project

Responsabilities:

- Manage the relationship with the customers
- Identify add-on sales opportunities and follow-up on them
- Be able to drive the extension of the business scope of a customer relationship, where possible
- Drive ???cold call??? sales, where needed
- Keep an eye on the trends in the telecom business and identify potential new business
- Drive pre-sales from the moment of the initial customer engagement until the moment when the project actually starts
- Be involved as the technical support for pre-sales, during the whole sales cycle
- Acts as the technical / solution / field expert during pre-sales
- Answer RFPs, RFQs
- Prepare technical marketing materials
- Be able to create business plans
- Including costs and pricing analysis
- Being able to handle multiple business models (for example CAPEX vs. OPEX)
- Identify the project risks and propose mitigation solutions
- Be able to handle heterogeneous, multi-vendor solutions
- Prepare all the technical documentation associated with a solution:
- Feasibility studies
- Solution analysis
- Business requirements documents
- Technical requirements documents
- Solution design
- Interface specifications
- Review the following types of documents, which are created by different departments:
- Detailed implementation specification
- Test specifications
- Functional test specifications
- Network integration specifications
- Provide a very strong analytical approach to problem solving


CERINTE

Telecom Business
- Excellent understanding of the telecom domain
- Strong knowledge of the various value chains within this domain
- Immediate knowledge of the major players / companies from the telecom fields
- Good knowledge of the biggest groups of telecom operators
- Very familiar with the business models used in the industry

Technical (minimum 3-4 areas from the below ones)

Software
- Strong programming skills in at least one OOP language
- Strong knowledge of the OOP concepts
- Excellent understanding of threads and multi-threading architectures
- Good experience in the performance and load testing of software applications
- Strong understanding of distributed solutions
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networks
- Write clear and crisp specification documents
- Remain the technical reference point throughout the whole development cycle, for the other teams involved in the project (development, testing, QA)
- Act as a decision and negotiation point between the other teams, if needed.

Note:

There are two seniority levels available for these positions:

Senior

- it is especially important to be able to create new business where none existed before ??? in other words to attract and retain new customers.

- the key requirement is to be able to take on a pre-sales cycle without extensive preliminary preparation and to drive it towards a successful sale.

- a senior must be able to strengthen and extend the scope of the existing customer relationships. New business must also be generated, as described in a previous section.

- senior persons are expected to be self-reliant in the execution of the above tasks and to deliver outstanding results.

- It is expected from the senior persons to take an active and leading role in the coaching / training of the more junior people in the team

Experienced

- An experienced person is expected to continue to manage and develop an already established customer relationship. The development of completely new customer relationships will be done under the guidance of a senior.

- pre-sales work will be done independent for simple / small projects. The involvement in large / complex projects will be assisted by a senior.

- engaging of a customer (especially for new customers) will be done under the supervision of a senior. For very simple projects and ???friendly??? customers, an experienced person is expected to operate independently

- a senior will do review of the most important documents generated by experienced persons.

- an experienced person is expected to accept the coaching from a senior. He / she is also expected to have a pro-active involvement in the coaching relationship showing active interest in the subjects being discussed.
