Adecco Executive Search Department is looking for one of its clients, a prestigious multinational company in packaging industry for a Sales Manager position in Bucharest.
I. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Responsible for planning, directing and administering the sales activities related to an assigned region. Responsible for implementing the strategic vision of the group through strong follow up and planning to ensure maximum market penetration of the company products through the right balance of distributors and end users. Additionally, the Sales Manager is fully responsible for the development of the combined performance of the sales team and for ensuring that everyone achieves their objectives.
II. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assess the market potential and customer needs and identify opportunities for growth beyond current activities.
2. Assess competition and ensure the competitive position of the company products.
3. Maintain a good understanding of the customers packaging process and become their partner on improving their packaging efficiency.
4. Provide customers with advice on benefits from our products.
5. Visit key accounts and negotiate contracts.
6. Maintain a close relationship with the headquarters with regular reporting.
7. Reach profitability targets for the assigned area.
8. Co-ordinate with other divisions and members of the Group to better serve the customers’ needs.
Entrepreneurial attitude with a strong “hands on” approach
· Sales experience gained in an industrial environment, B2B sales, proven record in handling medium sized diversified customers and/or distributors
· An engineering degree followed by a business degree is the preferred educational background
· excellent command of the English language is a prerequisite
· PC literacy
· strong communication skills, team spirit
· analytical and numerical ability and strong organizational skills
· Results oriented, a true hunter, ability to work on their own & take initiative
· Experience in Matrix organizations
· trained in a multinational sales environment.
